Child Counseling
Play is the natural way that children communicate. Children play as a way of working out their problems. As a professional, I utilize play activities to better understand what their inner world feels like to them. During our sessions, I can support the child to develop new coping skills. This approach is ideal for children ages 3-13. Parents are always asking me, "What can I do to help my child" and I will meet with parents to discuss changes they can make at home to support the child's growth.
Counseling is great for children who struggle with:
: Behavioral issues - tantrums, defiance, arguing and acting out.
: Emotional Management (Anger, Anxiety, Stress or Depression).
: School Behaviors - behaving in class, school performance, peer interactions.
: Social Issues - getting along with other children and family members.
